Summary

Vesna has been born in a country that does not exist anymore (Yugoslavia), and often jokes that she changed four countries since then, without moving from one city. Going through war and being raised by idealistic, socialistic mother and grandparents, in addition to a pack of stray dogs (she firmly believes we can learn a lot from animals) she and other kids took care of, she became quite curious and loving of natural world, and sensitive to bullying and suffering - whether human or animal, she does not differentiate.

She moved with her partner to Vancouver, Canada in 2017. where she decided it is finally a good time for her to return to what she does best - art.

To that end, she attended quite a few online art, photography and design courses; among them are Character Art School on Udemy, Game Design on Coursera, How to Draw: Drawing Human Anatomy by Aaron Blaise, CreativeLive photography courses, and currently, UX Design nanodegree course on Udacity.

She had her first contracted artwork (portrait) while still in high school; her first medical illustration,as well as her first 1st-place competition-awarded drawing, at the 8th grade (cross-sections of different organs). She had a photo exhibited in an art gallery (Sophia, Bulgaria) in August 2019, and took part in April/May One Week Portrait challenge by Paintable. This work was published recently in second issue of art magazine, Revista Sapo.

She always had vivid, fantasy-like dreams, so she wants to turn those into paintings. She also loves drawing animals, intricate fantasy weapons, jewellery and artifacts.
